If you have had a thread lift, can you still get a facelift later on? As the face ages, we begin to see drooping of the midface and neck, jowling of the chin and jawline, and because people are starting to see changes to their face shape, they want to find a way to correct this.
Non-surgical options are designed to correct these problems. One of these non-surgical options is a threat lift. It involves a dissolving thread that is passed through the tissue, which ultimately lifts the face. These dissolve after about 6 months to a year, so the face goes back to its original state and it doesn’t create much of a change if there is significant laxity to the skin. If threadlifts don’t work, can you still get a facelift? Do the threads get in the way of a facelift? Let’s talk about it!

The music is very distracting and unnecessary
Please no music, your voice alone is music in our ears, thank you doctor ??
Thank you Dr. Karam. I had the permanent Silhouette thread lift done in 2014. They are still in my face. I have to agree that the results were not very satisfactory and the procedure was expensive. I can’t recommend the thread lift because the results are minimal and short lived. Can you still do a facelift with the permanent threads? Likely they need to be removed?
I”ve had (and still have in my forehead) a thread lift with the same outcome as yours (not recommended). In 2017 I’ve had a mini facelift, and the threads were removed out of my face during that surgery. I’m happy with my face, but in hindsight I would have opted for a full facelift. My jowls were not really taken care off, and that’s something I regret now.
OMG, I was just wondering that question a couple of days ago!
Same here I was wondering this also in the last couple of days!
Dr. Hablo el español.Sinembargo entiendo ,por el video, que esta nueva tecnica es fabulosa.Agradeceré traducir al español.Muchas gracias
Thank you Doctor!
Dr. Can you talk about Scultra, and the procedures, painful? Thank you.
I meant Sculptra… Your videos are very informative, that is very important to make the right decision. Thank you very much.
If you must add music, can you please lower the volume? Then it won’t – quite literally – be competing with your voice.
What constitute a mini lift?? Thank you!
I totally agree with other posts about the background music. It’s super distracting; annoyingly so. It takes away from what you are saying
Informative, thank you! I love background music so didn’t bother me in the least
Why do you have music on when you are talking
But thanks a lot for your information video!!?

@serge louis sieben I’ll vet people are lined up to be “ripped off” by him. He’s talented and people are willing to pay it.
after 6 months….no more lifted
Deep plane lifts generally last 10 + years. Recovery from a face lift is usually 4 to 6 weeks . Swelling reduces very gradually over the course of a year.
He was talking about thread lifting because some people have asked if he could do deep plane surgery If they had previously done thread lifts. He said yes he could do his deep plane face lift working around the threads or scar tissue that are there. .
@Debbie Lockhart I think she’s talking about threads, not surgery.
If you are lucky, usually it’s less than 4 weeks
He does deep plane, and yes, they absolutely will be lifted for years. What an odd comment.
If you Ever need a model ????? please let me know ! I cannot afford these surgery’s ????????????????
Great ?️ Newse
Hi Doc, love your videos, but PLEASE don’t use any background music behind your lecture; it makes it very hard to understand you.
