I recommend treatments twice weekly until the swelling is reduced and your body can start to reduce swelling naturally using the lymphatic system. When a part of the body is operated on, the lymphatic capillaries are cut and it takes several weeks for the system to grow back together. The result? Swelling in the body. While the lymphatic system is healing, a massage therapist trained in manual lymphatic drainage can reduce the swelling by safely rerouting the lymphatic flow to other lymph nodes. This type of massage is gently and very relaxing. Sessions for facelift and abdominoplasty last for 50 minutes.
